Description

Common Names: Birds

This dramatic form flower, with its multi-colored florets, derives its common name from the crown atop the heads of tropical birds. Bird of Paradise flowers can reach a length of 6" and last for 7 to 14 days. Often the flowers need time to emerge from the protective sheath, which contains two flowers which can be gently pried from the sheath for display.
