The simplicity of this color will play out in fashion as well as the event and wedding world. We absolutely love to see this timeless color get the recognition it deserves.
In terms of flowers, there are so many different color palettes to choose from. While there aren’t many natural blue flowers, the ones that do exist have been increasingly popular among brides this past wedding season. Do we sense a trend of brides having A LOT to do with the color of the year? I think so. A bridal favorite, thistle, is a shining example of classic blue. Thistle can be used in so many different aspects and blends seamlessly with so many color palettes. A few other blue faves include anemone’s, delphinium, and blue hydrangeas. We’ve put together some fun color palette ideas for you as inspiration!
This color palette includes bright and punchy colors such as hot pink, orange, yellow and bright green, along with the tried and true blue. We love this palette for a fun, summertime get-together. This look contains blue anemones, orange spray roses, yellow ranunculus, hot pink rose Cherry-O and nagi greens.
This soft blue palette is a timeless classic that really lets the blue shine. Pairing blues such as thistle (showed above), or any blue flower really, with light greenish, greys really bring the blue color to life. These three items are overflowing with texture from velvety soft dusty miller, to spikey and fun thistle, with the fragrant favorite, seeded eucalyptus.
Corals, peaches, and blushes pair flawlessly with striking blue delphinium in this summery blue palette. This combination gives off nautical, garden party vibes. Containing blue delphinium, Amsterdam coral rose, peach ranunculus, pink stock, and mini green hydrangeas, this would look stunning in a gorgeous outdoor affair.
This true blue palette blends white, ivory and blues together to form a stunning arrangement. Theses colors work lovely at any time of the year. We love how versatile this palette is as well. It can be used for elegant soirees or a more rustic affair, it’s all about how you style it! Thistle, purity garden rose, silver brunia, blue delphinium, succulents, and white spray roses come together to really bring out the blues.
