Calling all brides and DIY event planners: Pantone has officially released their color palette predictions for 2018! In case you haven\u2019t heard of Pantone, they\u2019re the experts who look into their crystal ball to see what colors we\u2019ll soon be crazy about. Whenever we see their predictions come out at Blooms by the Box, our first question is, \u201cHow do we incorporate these gorgeous palettes into DIY flower arrangements?\u201d\u00a0Well, luckily for you, the Blooms team has broken down a few of our favorite color combos and paired them up with some of our most popular wedding and event wholesale flowers!\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Resourceful” color palette<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The resourceful palette is the answer for the bride who is decisive and confident in what she wants. Combining shades of navy and orange with eclectic touches, this wedding will be will still have a classic yet laid-back vibe. There will be unexpected, eclectic touches around every turn, so pairing dark blue delphinium<\/a> with mini calla lilies in mango<\/a> will be a pleasant surprise! Other wholesale must-have to pull of this combo include red freesia<\/a>, peach ranunculus<\/a>, Italian ruscus<\/a>, and green ivy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Verdure” color palette<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This color palette was created with a rustic, tropical wedding in mind! Pairing gorgeously with gold and glass accents, Pantone’s Verdure color palette is perfectly suited for the couple who aren\u2019t afraid of an adventure. Combine muted, pastel tones and eye-popping greens for this look – like mini carnations in yellow<\/a> paired with green kale<\/a>, or lavender stock<\/a> and Nageia nagi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Playful” color palette<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The “Playful” palette is the ideal color scheme for weddings with one focus: fun. Perfect for spring or early summer, “Playful” \u00a0DIY events will have a photo booth, games, a-rockin’ playlist – and a huge dessert table! Include fresh cut flowers like scabiosa<\/a>, Amsterdam roses<\/a>, pink or yellow\u00a0dahlias<\/a>, and frame your DIY floral arrangements with greens like seeded eucalyptus<\/a>, lemon papoose<\/a>, and arelya foliage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Discretion” color palette<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Delicate, feminine, romantic, and classic are all words that perfectly describe the feeling that “Discretion” gives off. This Pantone palette could not be more well-suited for a garden party or a small reception after a destination wedding! Pair flowers like moonaqua carnations<\/a>, ghobi roses<\/a>, and white freesia <\/a>with fillers like cotton stems<\/a>, pink astilbe<\/a>, and Queen Anne’s lace<\/a>. Coffee foliage and variegated ivy will add the sweetest finishing touch!<\/p>\n

“Technique” color palette\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You didn’t think metallics were going anywhere in 2018, did you? “Tech-Nique” by Pantone (modern\u2019s younger & more fun sibling) will make sure of that! Pair bright blues, purples, pinks, with anything silver or iridescent. Does that combo seem a little overwhelming? Then tone it down with deep greens and grays to pull off this show-stopping palette. Perfect for the modern couple who still knows how to throw a party, this color combination calls for light blue delphinium<\/a>, Moonlite carnations<\/a>, Ashley garden roses<\/a>, and pink gladiolus<\/a>. Polish off this look monstera<\/a> and succulents <\/a>for a truly unique vibe!<\/p>\n

You’ll see shades of \u201cGreenery\u201d (Pantone\u2019s 2017 pick), peach, blush, navy, sage, and burgundy all pop up occasionally throughout the combinations. This makes including these up-and-coming colors in your DIY wedding and event flower arrangements will be simpler than you think!<\/p>\n
