PRODUCT DETAILS

Blue anemones take center stage in the creation of any bouquet or arrangement. Derived from the Greek word anemos, which translates to wind, anemones are also known as the wind flower. Reminiscent of poppies, these whimsical blooms are the perfect way to incorporate something blue into your wedding day festivities. In addition to their striking color, what makes blue anemones so popular is their undeniable personality. They are the showstoppers of many arrangements, especially rustic ones. Blue anemones pair beautifully with dusty miller, roses, succulents and scabiosa pods, as well as a mix of colorful wildflowers for a just picked from the garden look and feel. Do not forget to incorporate some yellow, as this sunny hue and blue are complementary colors on the color wheel. Anemones are steeped in history, with roots in mythology. They are often associated with anticipation and unfading love, good luck and protection against evil. Once you receive your anemones, you can help them open up faster by rehydrating them in warm water.

Suggestions: Blooms by the Box’s anemones are field grown, so slight color variations are likely to occur – but they are absolutely stunning variations! Anemones will arrive closed, but give them a sharp, clean cut and place them in lukewarm water to help them open up in no time! We recommend to support their stems by placing them in a tall vase while they rehydrate.
