it’s no wonder the Starfighter lily is one of our most popular lilies. Belonging to the genus Lilium, the Starfighter is a hybrid Oriental lily and is considered to be a part of a group of “true lilies.” Strong stems support upward-facing, 6-inch wide blooms that have reddish-purple petals accented with a thick white border and dark red freckling. The edges are subtly ruffled and the blooms have an almost wax-like finish. They truly are one of the “stars” of the floral world. Each sturdy stem features two to three blooms to help you fill a large vase easily to create showy centerpieces and arrangements.
While these stars dazzle on their own, they can also be complemented by many different types of flowers. Choose whites, varying shades of pink or a blend of both. The Starfighter is the traditional 30th wedding anniversary flower, making it a terrific choice when celebrating this milestone moment.
