We are thrilled to be featured in Louisville Bride! Our very own Bloom’s bride Michelle and her now-husband, Doug hosted a wildflower whiskey inspired wedding that screamed DIY! This rustic wonderland event featured bouquets and other arrangements full of stock, mini gerbera daisies, pompon daisies, snapdragons, thistle, larkspur, and other assorted blooms. The arrangements look as if each bloom was individually plucked from a field of wildflowers!

Wildflower and Whiskey Inspired Wedding
The pair chose a wildflower and whiskey theme for their spring wedding, centered around their shared love for color and a vintage aesthetic. Beautifully aged glass bottles (both bourbon and antique) stood as their centerpieces, all DIY projects that the couple proudly took on themselves. All too late, Doug and Michelle realized that their ideal wildflowers were out of season in Kentuckey, so Blooms by the Box help them to identify similar florals based on the inspiration photo the couple gave them. This achieved the look they were going for, incorporating the flowers into the bouquets and boutonnieres as well.
Some of the couples favorite wedding details?
Some of their favorite wedding day details included morning yoga on the lawn with the bridal party, their breathtaking venue, and seeing all of their carefully crafted details come together. Michelle’s advice for couples planning their own wedding is simple, “Don’t feel like your wedding has to be done any specific way. It’s your day and it’s about the love you share!”
