Backyard Weddings
Backyard weddings are a favorite for 2018! Personalize your wedding and decorate with your favorite fresh cut flowers. You can make it an intimate, casual or romantic wedding. There are no rules! Here are some important things to remember when planning your backyard wedding.
It is important to groom the backyard and add enough seating for all your guests. Add a lot of color to your backyard with floral arrangements. Create a water station for your guests, so they don’t become dehydrated. String lights and flowers on trees to set a nice ambiance. Use garlands on the tables as centerpieces, and make an arch with flowers for your special ceremony. If you rent a tent, decorate it inside with beautiful big colorful hanging carnation pomanders. Planning a backyard wedding can be cost-saving if you plan to DIY and is filled with endless creative ideas!

Arrange the seating in a small intimate space to keep your guests close together during dinner. Mix and match the chairs and tables for an eclectic, romantic garden atmosphere. Design DIY unique individual centerpieces for each table adding lush garden roses, ranunculus, roses, and textured fillers. Hang lights overhead so when the sun goes down, it will be romantic for you and the guests.

Garlands are a perfect way to make a statement for your backyard wedding. Yes, they are perfect centerpieces, but garlands can be used anywhere! Hang them on the back of chairs, around your menu board for the guests, on the cake table, ceremony arch, and last but not least, your JUST GOT MARRIED getaway car! You can DIY them yourself with any Eucalyptus, Olive branch, Ivy Green and much more. Or order premade garlands and embellish them with roses or succulents.
Water & Bug Station

Hook your guests up with lots of water to stay re-hydrated and bug spray to keep those pesky bugs away! Decorate these stations with spring flowers or baby’s breath to compliment your table centerpieces. Freeze flower heads in ice blocks to keep the water cold for your guests. Before your wedding call an exterminator to spray the yard to help keep away the bugs three to four days before your event. Place lanterns around the yard with citronella candles and tiki torches with citronella oil. Put the tiki torches in a safe place where they can not be knocked over. Rent floor fans and put them around the food and cake table to keep the bugs away. Have baskets of bug repellent bracelets and bottles of bug spray for the guests if needed.

Having a wedding arch at your backyard wedding is a tradition and has a different meaning for many cultures. DIY your arch with beautiful garlands, flowers, and greenery. Add some freeze dried rose petals down the aisle or under the arch to add color. No matter what the theme, you can make it unique to your special day! This arch will be a memorable moment and the kiss that will unite both of you together forever!
Hanging Pomanders

Spice up your backyard wedding space by decorating with hanging carnation flower pomanders. Hang them from trees, tents, arbors, or even place them on a top of a tall vase. These lovely flower balls are also known as kissing balls. They are much like mistletoe to grant you good fortune, love, and romance forever. You can use pomanders as a dual use which is cost-effective. Have your flowers girls carry them down the aisle and when the ceremony is over, hang them on the sweetheart table chairs for the bride and groom.
