Sunflowers are beginning to make their way back into season just in time for summer and fall! With three different options to choose from, sunflowers can be versatile and mixed with so many different colors and styles! Here are 3 ideas to get you started if you know you’d like to use summer sunflowers but aren’t sure how.

A stunning array of white flowers with sunflowers mixed in can elevate an event. Try pairing sunflowers with a tall white flower such as delphinium, stock, snapdragons or larkspur. We love a wispy look with sunflowers. Mix in some baby’s breath for a rustic feel, pair with roses or garden roses for a romantic, classic feel.

Next is the most common way sunflowers are used is with shades of autumn blossoms such as orange, burgundy, red, and green. We love this palette and think it never gets old. As September approaches this palette is perfect for pretty much any event! To achieve this look, pair sunflowers with mums, alstroemeria, spray roses, asters, fillers such as bupleurum or solidago and soft greenery such as eucalyptus. A summer sunflower can easily be transitioned to fall!

Sunflowers with purple/lavender blooms

Lastly, one of our personal favorites is mixing sunflowers with shades of purple. Something about purple and yellow together just makes sense! To get this look, pair sunflowers with moon carnations, Iris, purple lisianthus, fillers such as statice or misty blue limonium and dark greenery such as ruscus or myrtle.

Sunflowers can be used in a wide variety of styles. You can shop our standard sunflowers with dark centers, yellow sunflowers with yellow centers for a more sophisticated look, or our bi-color sunflowers for a perfect harvest, fall feel. Have questions about ordering sunflowers? Contact us today!
