What floral supplies will I need to safely decorate my cake with fresh-cut flowers/greenery?
- Floral Tape
- Floral Scissor (for trimming your flowers and greens.)
How do I start to prepare my flowers to decorate the cake?
- The first thing you need to do is to let your flowers hydrate in clean water overnight. After they have fully hydrated, it is time to cut the stems and wrap them with floral tape.
- To begin, cut each stem approximately 2-3 inches long. Wrap all stems with floral tape after cutting them.
- Start with the Tibet rose at the top of the cake and place it in the center. Place two stems of Geraldine roses on either side of the Tibet rose.
- Fill in half of the cake with spray roses, white lisianthus, wax flowers, Geraldine rose stems and bonsai greenery sprigs.
- Add the anemone, spray roses, white lisianthus, wax flowers, and bonsai greenery on the other side of the cake.
