How many flowers will I need for this centerpiece?

What floral supplies will I need to make this centerpiece?

  1. Floral Scissor
  2. Floral Foam
  3. Wood Container
  4. *Optional: Wood hearts, craft paint, glue or double stick tape.

How do I start to make my centerpiece?

  1. You should prepare your wood container in advance. *Optional, depending on what color you want your wood container and hearts to be or whether you are making it for a bridal or baby shower.
  2. The foam must be cut to fit in the wood container, then soaked in water until saturated, approximately two minutes. Lining the wooden container with a large Ziplock bag will protect it from moisture seeping through the container. Place the wet foam in the Ziplock bag.
  3. Prepare your flowers by removing any extra leaves on the stems. As you create your arrangement, cut the stems. It is important to create height by making each stem a different length. Stick each flower carefully into the wet floral foam.
  4. Begin by placing a white football mum in the center of the foam. Put a Geraldine rose on one side and an anemone on the other.
  5. Continue adding spray roses, and pink stock, filling in the all the flowers, making it full and by cutting stems at different heights.
  6. Fill the corners with stems of wax flowers and evenly distribute stems throughout the arrangement.
  7. Last but not least, add some bonsai greenery at the bottom to fill in any gaps.
