We love weddings here, each wedding has a unique and beautiful love story, and this vintage May wedding is no exception.
Ginny and Ben grew up, vacationed, worked and studied all within miles of each other, but never crossed paths. They finally met on the Lower East Side, fell in love and finally celebrated their marriage last May. This Vintage DIY Wedding Weekend took place in Cape May, New Jersey, at the elegant Chalfonte Hotel, one of the same places this couple vacationed as children.
Having been inspired by this story, we sent out hand-picked, beautiful blue Hydrangeas, Yellow Ranunculus, white Roses and Wax flowers with green accents from Variegated Pittosporum. Little did we know, the Bridal party kicked off their wedding weekend with a fun evening of creating the beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces with our blooms.
After all the festivities ended the family of the Newlyweds walked the beach handing out their arrangements to passer-by’s and spreading our flowers throughout the entire Cape. The Family wanted to share the energy of the marriage, across the entire island.
We always love helping DIY Brides create their dream wedding. For Ginny & Ben, we got to do more than provide tools for beautiful arrangements. Instead of just being accents to a beautiful photo and day, we were apart of creating moments, memories and sharing the couple’s love with the entire Cape May. Thank you, Ginny & Ben, for inviting Blooms by the Box to be a part of your special day!

(from Father of the Bride): About a week before the wedding our local florist warned me about on-line flowers, especially for a wedding. Knowing my daughter Ginny, I was sure I had nothing to worry about, but . . . Well, you proved the local florist 150% wrong! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and fresh. So fresh that those we took home with us were still beautiful 2 weeks later! Plus, the wedding party worked out much of the nervous energy the day before cutting and arranging the flowers! The floral arranging became a memorable event in itself. So thank you!
We are so happy to hear that, Richard! The flowers looked amazing! Congratulations to you and your family.
