Fill your tall glass vase with your favorite color using small mercury glass ball ornaments. Cut one complete block of Oasis foam to fit in the center of a 6″ designer dish or bowl. Make sure the foam is soaked and tightly fitted in the dish.

Preparing Floral Foam

When using a designer dish, tape the foam on both sides of the block with waterproof floral tape. The floral tape will secure the floral foam, and the weight of the flowers will not pull the floral foam out of the designer dish. When you start creating the flower centerpiece, it’s helpful to elevate the dish. By doing so, you can see how the arrangement might look on the vase. To secure the floral dish, I like to use double-sided tape.

Adding Flowers

It would be best if you started with your biggest blooms, hydrangeas. Trim the hydrangea stems and insert the stems into the floral foam to create a round shape. Put the stems deep in the floral foam to lock them in place. By arranging the hydrangeas first, you will get a feel for how full the arrangement will be. Fluff the hydrangeas and carefully create the shape.

Add the Florida cedar greens around the bottom of the hydrangeas. Cut the stems to the desired length and secure them in the floral foam hanging down. Now add the Cocculus greenery.

You are ready to add the white freesia. Insert the freesia stems into the floral foam between the petals of the hydrangeas. You should position the freesia above the hydrangeas. Continue to turn the arrangement as you add more flowers. Add mini burgundy carnations for a pop of color.
