I did not know the water had to be room temperature for cutting flowers I always used cold water, and I didn’t know regular scissors would not work for the flowers! I hope knowing this helps me from killing all my flowers on my wedding day!

My daughter is doing her own flowers for her wedding. I have been on several different bulk flower sites and was so excited to see a printable guide for “do it yourself” wedding flowers when I found “Blooms by the Box”. I was also pleased to see that you can order smaller quantities of flowers. That was what prompted me to change the vendor for our flower needs to “Blooms by the Box”!
This is just what I have been looking for! I really want to try and arrange my own flowers for our wedding, and I was having trouble finding an easy to follow online tutorial. I saw an add for Blooms by The Box in a bridal magazine and did some research. After visiting your site and finding this I am sold! Now all I need to do is decide on the flowers I want, and practice!
Tons of great info in DIY Flowers 101! I especially liked the tips about holding the stems under the water while you cut them, pairing opposite textures together while keeping transition in mind, and making sure you get greens that are in scale with your flowers!
