Earlier this month, daffodils started to bloom in The Green Park. Now, normally this perennial doesn’t make headlines when they make their comeback in the spring, but this year they serve as the processional route decor for the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Accordingly, the daffodils were planted to celebrate The Queen’s and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Golden Wedding in 1997.
