Over the past month, we have enjoyed sharing our thoughts on trends for the new year and the very polarizing Pantone Colors of the Year.

On Shefinds, Joan shared one of the top trends for weddings in 2021.

“Larger elements that have a significant impact will be in for 2021. Larger floral installations to cozy conversation areas with specialty rentals will be extremely popular.”

When it comes to larger florals installations, we suggest a flower wall, statement centerpieces in oversized vessels, and suspended blooms all will make a large impact. If you are considering utilizing this trend, we would suggest being creative on how you can repurpose the element from one part of the wedding to another. For instance, you might use large urns with boho flower arrangements to anchor your ceremony, but why not have someone move them to flank your sweetheart or head table at the reception.

Each year, Pantone announces the color of the year, and from year to year, it can cause a bit of a stir. But this year, the chosen colors were polarizing with Ultimate Gray and Illuminating. We love this color combination; the gray gives us a nice steady tone, and the yellow gives a little bit of lightness through the dark, which we can all use in 2021. Joan shared her thoughts on the selection with Catersource and Special Events.

“Pantone’s 2021 Colors of the Year are fun, bright, and whimsical. These shades bring life to the wedding industry and will be especially popular during the spring and early summer months. I think these colors will work beautifully for events and will bring 2021 some much needed joy and brightness.”
