With winter just around the corner, we wanted to round up our favorite winter wedding trends for this chilly season. This time of year has gained popularity over the last few years, and we can see why!
Monochromatic Moments

All-white winter weddings create an elegant feel that is hard to beat. We just love the monocratic look paired with metallic elements like gold, copper, or silver. When it comes to florals to use for this look, we love adding a variety of textures to give visual interest. Some of our favorites are garden roses, carnations, and hydrangeas. A budget-friendly option that has really become a favorite with designers is baby’s breath grouped together by itself. It creates a large impact with little effort.
Velvet

From linens to dresses, couches, and chairs, we will be seeing velvet used in many ways. Since this fabric has more weight to it and comes in stunning deep colors like hunter green, brown, and maroon, it is perfect for the season. You can also utilize it in small, unexpected ways, like a pocket square or bowtie, velvet ribbon tied around a bouquet, or a pretty ring box.
Let the Outside In

While most of the United States will be too cold to enjoy an outdoor wedding, why not bring nature inside to enjoy? Take a note from mother nature and utilize greenery that flourishes during winter like evergreen, cedar, juniper, pine, and boxwood. Then, take your foliage to new heights with a suspended garland to make your guests feel like they are dining in a forest.
Cozy Vibes Only

Making everyone feel warm and welcome is great for a wedding during any time of the year, but it is essential to keep your guests comfortable with freezing temperatures. Consider offering pashminas or small lap blankets on the chairs of your guests. Welcome your guests to your ceremony with a hot toddy or hot chocolate station where they can serve themselves; not only will it keep them warm, but it is also a great activity for them to pass the time as they wait for the ceremony to begin. We all know how much light can really change the ambiance of a space, so consider utilizing candles or string lights throughout your reception. If you have any uplighting or spotlights, a warm amber tone is a great choice.
