A micro wedding is a smaller-scale celebration with a simple ceremony and a casual reception with 50 guests or less. Coronavirus restrictions limit us on the number of people allowed at gatherings, which is affecting how couples are getting married. An average wedding starts at 150 guests or more. With our new world of social distancing today, we see couples having small weddings with many benefits. It may not be your dream wedding, but I will promise it will be a memorable day! We call these micro weddings a smaller-scale celebration with a simple ceremony and casual reception with 50 guests or less. Micro weddings have fewer flowers, but you still will need bouquets, boutonnieres, and ceremony flowers. Blooms By The Box can help you create beautiful DIY designs creating long-lasting memories.
Bouquets
Making a wedding bouquet for the first time may be intimidating, but it is quite simple. First, pick your favorite flowers and color palette. Keep your wedding bouquet simple. Second, choose the central flower as your focal flower, a bit smaller flower as a secondary flower, and or filler flowers and greenery. Pick hardy flowers that are easy to care for, such as roses, calla lilies, chrysanthemums, and carnations as some samples. Gather your floral supplies, cutting shears, floral tape, bouquet pins, and ribbon. Make your wedding bouquets with the hand-tied bouquet technique. Below are a few samples to help you get started.

Boutonnieres
Boutonnieres are easy and fun to make! Pick your favorite bold color flower and pair it with a smaller flower. Add a few sprigs of your favorite greenery. The groom’s boutonniere should be lavish and compliment the bride’s wedding bouquet. The groomsmen compliment the bridesmaid’s bouquets and the color of the bridal dresses.

Ceremony Wedding Flowers
Make your ceremony space your own by adding small flower arrangements. If you are having a backyard ceremony, decorate a wood arbor with flowers. Or add floral pillars with small flower arrangements and wedding signage. How ever you decide to celebrate your wedding; it is your special day. Walking down the aisle is a memory you will cherish forever!
