We’re so happy to share the shabby chic barn wedding of Jenna and Tim! Their barn was overflowing with burlap and wooden details, while the florals were soft and rustic, using Baby’s Breath, Football Mums, and Baby Blue Eucalyptus. Shabby Chic Barn Wedding

What was the inspiration for your wedding design?

I wanted it to be shabby chic but simple with small touches here and there.

How did you incorporate DIY details into your wedding day?

We did everything ourselves. We used our property for the reception and a friend’s Hop Farm for the ceremony. We made the altar for the ceremony, the brand for the entire wedding and everything else in between! My amazing Mother-In-Law did all of the flowers as well!

What was the Most Memorable Moment from your wedding?

My most memorable moment is watching how excited my husband was when I was walking down the aisle.  Next to that, it would have to be watching everyone’s reaction to the flower girl and ring bearer drive this mini Model-T down the aisle to set the tone for us!

Were there any traditions you chose to include in your wedding day? Any you didn’t?

We choose to say our own vows and we did a unity ceremony. But, we branded a piece of wood with our family brand instead of a candle.  I also choose to walk down the aisle with my daughter instead of my Dad which was nontraditional.

Do you have any tips for future brides?

Ask for help, do as much as you can early on and don’t stress over the little things. Enjoy the attention of putting a wedding together. It is amazing to be surrounded by those who love you all the time!
