We are so excited to share another amazing wedding featuring our fabulous customers Jena and James from California! Their Star Wars inspired event was out of this world with lush greenery and moody toned blooms. Everything from the bouquets to table decor was meticulously executed. We love the mixture of tropical ferns combined with lavish peach garden roses and cascading hanging amaranthus red. With a sunset backdrop, their DIY arrangements were the perfect addition to a magnificent day.

Was there a theme or style?
We’re both Star Wars fans, and love the outdoors, so our wedding theme was “Celebration on Endor”. Yes, Endor is the forest planet where the Ewoks live. We were inspired by the Redwoods, forests, greens, but set in the future with lots of inspiration from outer space!

How did you incorporate DIY details into your wedding day?
My husband and I did everything. He built wooden backdrops. I designed and created everything from hand painting each drinking glass, to personally setting the tables the day of. I designed and assembled all the bouquets. We made resin cast gold Ewoks to hide in the bouquets and table garland. The list goes on!

Do you have any tips for future brides?
Do what you want! Don’t get tied up with traditional wedding details when they don’t really matter. We stopped calling it a wedding halfway through planning and called it “The big party in the backyard”.
