As we usher in a new year, we are looking toward the trends that will dominate weddings in 2022. From Netflix to home décor, trends can really be inspired from anywhere. We are sharing a few of our favorites and how you can achieve the look on your wedding day.
Bridgerton-Inspired Fetes

From smocked dresses to over-the-top jewelry, we have seen the Bridgerton style sneak into fashion over the last year. As we move into the new year, we will see its resurgence in wedding trends. Consider mixing and matching vintage china, touches of pearls in bouquets and attire, and rococo-style cakes. A light dusty blue will be a favorite for color palettes. We will also see empire waists, dramatic sleeves, and embroidered veils and bows take center stage when it comes to dresses. Flowers will be abundant with roses, eucalyptus, olive branches, garden roses, thistle, and light blue delphinium arranged organically for ceremony arches and sweetheart tables. So, grab your Simon or Daphne and tie the knot in this romantic style!
Mocktails

Whether someone is the designated driver or is sober for personal reasons, having fun options for them at the bar will make them feel welcome and comfortable. This means expanding your non-alcoholic bar options past the traditional sodas and lemonades. Consider having your caterer develop signature mocktails for your guests, and then be sure to include them on your bar signs or beverage menu. You can even take it a step further and pass out these drinks as guests enter the reception or the ceremony.

While neutral tones will still be popular, we will see a move to bright colors as well. Even though you might feel overwhelmed by mixing hues, it is a lot easier than you think. Consider pairing two to three intense colors with two neutral colors like nude, black, or white. Then, you can experiment with color in your florals, candles, napkins, and invitations.
Grand-Millennial Style

House Beautiful coined the term ‘grand-millennial style’ as they saw a shift in home décor from an all-white aesthetic to color with grandma-chic vibes. As we frequently see home décor trends trickle into weddings, this is one that we will see for weddings in 2022. All can be used for your event from floral prints, antique furniture in dark wood tones, heirloom china, flatware, and other décor items. Floral prints are perfect for invitations and printed items, while a dark wood buffet can serve as your cake or escort card table. We predict seeing this theme trickle into 2023 as well.
While it is nice to know what is on the horizon for the next year, keep in mind it is your big day, so in our eyes, the sky is the limit, and you can really do whatever speaks to you and your partner.
