How to Make a Blackbeard Wheat Flower Arrangement
You’ll Need…
Willow Baskets
Floral Foam
Cellophane/ Plastic Lining
Dahlias
Orange Ranunculus
Black Beard Wheat
Prepare your Flowers
Floral foam: Pre-soak your floral foam
Willow Baskets: Line the baskets with a piece of plastic or liner before placing the floral foam so that the container doesn’t leak.
Flowers: Carefully remove thorns and lower leaves, and cut all flower stems at an angle using floral shears or a very sharp knife. Flowers may need time to rehydrate before arranging.
Black Beard Wheat: Bundle Wheat together and secure with wire. Trim to desired length.
Create Your Floral Arrangements
- Start by Inserting wheat into center of floral foam for tall arrangements and cross 2 bundles of wheat across top of willow basket for low arrangements.
- Insert Dahlias and Ranunculus into floral foam to fill arrangement.
Polish the arrangement off by refilling the water. Display on Tabletop and enjoy your Black Beard arrangements.
