Bear Grass looks like grass, but is really part of the lily family. Its olive-green leaves are inexpensive and tend to "weep" or "arch" when used in arrangements. Bear grass is more flat and thin than steel grass but smaller than lily grass. Bear Grass dries quite well. Approximately 80 stems per bunch. These DIY greens are perfect addition to a DIY centerpiece or wildflower pack.
Size: Leaves range from 1-2 ft in length.
Vase life: 10-14 days depending on environmental conditions.
Availability: All year
Suggestions: A new trend emerging is the use of bear grass as a decoration inside clear vases, the bear grass wraps around the inside of the vase displaying clean lined and simple vase design. Use bear grass in all arrangements as a filler and especially with taller designs.
