Haunting Halloween Tutorials with Eddie Zaratsian

Step by Step Directions

 

Tombstone Arrangement

Components + Instructions

Spanish Moss
Terra Cotta Saucer
Terra Cotta Sealer
Floral Foam
Foam Tombstone
Burgundy Ti Leaves Tips
Hot glue gun + glue sticks
Wooden Stakes
Black Cloth
Black plastic spiders

Instructions:

Preparation:

  1. Succulents – Spray paint tops of Succulents black and Hot Glue onto the wire
  2. Terra Cotta Saucer: You must seal the Terra Cotta Saucer with a Terra Cotta Sealer before placing wet floral foam
  3. Floral foam: You can pre-soak your floral foam or fill the container with water after you placed your foam into the container) fit into Saucer and cut the corners of foam at an angle.
  4. Flowers: Cut all flower stems at an angle.
  5. Tombstone – Insert and hot glue (2) wooden stakes to the bottom of the tombstone to create a stand.

Arranging:

  1. Insert the wooden stakes holding up the tombstone into floral foam.
  2. Cover the floral foam with Spanish moss
  3. Insert the Burgundy ti leaves around the tombstone at different heights to create an over-grown cemetery feel.
  4. Cut pieces of black fabric to put on top of the moss and gently hot glue onto the tombstone
  5. Add spiders to finish the look with a hot glue gun

Polish the arrangement off by refilling the water and enjoy your Tombstone Arrangement.

Skulls Arrangement

Components + Instructions

Agapanthus pods
Sage
Cockscomb
Cellophane/ Liner
Floral foam
Black Classic Urns Container
Plastic Skull
Wooden Stakes
Hot Glue Gun + Glue Sticks

Instructions:

Preparation:

  1. Black Classic Urns: If the container is not leak proof, line the wood containers with a piece of plastic or liner before placing the floral foam so that the container doesn’t leak.
  2. Floral foam: You can pre-soak your floral foam or fill the container with water after you placed your foam into the container. Fit into the lined urn with a portion of foam lining above the rim of the container. Cut the corners of foam at an angle and trim lining
  3. Flowers: Cut all flower stems at an angle.
  4. Hot Glue Wooden Stake to bottom of Skulls

Arranging:

  1. Place the skulls in the arrangement with wooden stakes
  2. Surround Skulls with Sage for a base
  3. Add Agapanthus pods at varying heights and around the base of the Skulls
  4. Hot glue the Cockscomb around the base of the skull

Polish the arrangement off by refilling the water and enjoy your Skulls Arrangement.
